Uxmal is the gateway to one of the most interesting routes in the history of the Yucatan.  The Puuc road includes the archaeological sites of Uxmal, Kabah, Sayil, Xlapak and Labna.  Uxmal, the most know site means ‘That which was built three times’ and is recognized as a World Heritage Site.  It is located 78 kilometres south of Merida and is easily accessed along good highways.  The buildings and their facades are beautifully decorated with stone filagree.  The intricate stonework is truly incredible.  The structures are a expression of Puuc architecture and is unique to the Yucatan.  We are fortunate that this area gives us the opportunity to explore this incredible chapter in human history and discover the unique Maya culture.
